CEFTA Joint Committee

The governing body of CEFTA is the Joint Committee, which has been established in accordance with Article 40 of the Agreement. It is composed of representatives of each Party to the Agreement (ministers responsible trade) and its main function is to supervise and administer the implementation of the Agreement. The Joint Committee meets regularly, at least once a year and makes decisions by consensus.   Further information on the individual Joint Committee meetings is available by clicking on the relevant meeting in the left hand side menu.

The Joint Committee is chaired by one of the parties and this function revolves on an annual basis.  A system of annual work programmes has been instigated to prioritise and guide the work of the CEFTA Parties during each Chairmanship.  Further information on the individual chairmanships can be found by clicking on the Chair in Office tab in the menu bar.
